Donatien Fire Fundi

Meet Donatien Fire, the driving force behind our organization's mission.

Donatien Fire isn't just a founder; he's a visionary, educator, mentor, and humanitarian with a passion for uplifting others. His journey began with a profound desire to make a difference, inspired by the resilience of Dzaleka refugees whom he encountered upon his arrival in the camp.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Management specializing in Communication from Southern New Hampshire University, USA, and an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies from the same institution, Donatien's educational background provides him with a solid foundation for addressing the multifaceted needs of refugees.

However, Donatien's expertise extends far beyond academia. He possesses a diverse skill set, including filmmaking, singing, creative writing, and advocacy. As an active member of the Faith in Children organization based in New York, Donatien's humanitarian efforts span continents.

His dedication to serving others has led him to work with various organizations within the Dzaleka Refugee Camp. Donatien collaborated with the Jesuits Refugee Service (JRS) as a preschool teacher, primary school teacher assistant, and youth sports facilitator. He also served as a Volunteer Yoga Therapist through the psychosocial department, providing much-needed support and healing to the community.

At the Ubuntu Nation School, a project by Fraternidade Sem Fronteiras Organization, Donatien played a pivotal role in its establishment and success. Initially serving as a lead preschool teacher, he later transitioned to the role of yoga and mindfulness teacher, enriching the educational experience for students and fostering holistic well-being.

Outside of formal education settings, Donatien's commitment to community development is evident in his involvement with the Burning Fire Scout Group, where he served as secretary and trainer.

Donatien Fire's tireless dedication,

Far away, beyond the hills of opportunity, far from the lands of despair, live the resilient refugees of Dzaleka. Separated by challenges, they thrive in a community dedicated to wellness, education, and the transformative power of the arts, right by the shores of hope, building a brighter future together.
